Police step up security in FCT

The police and security agencies have stepped up security measures in the Federal Capital Territory following bombings in Kano and Yobe that claimed many lives, Punch reported.
Intelligent officers have been deployed in different areas of the FCT in places such as shopping malls, motor parks and public areas of which most bombings take place.
The Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and the Civil Defense Force are some of the operatives that are supporting this initiative.
Police and security agencies want to foil any plots to attack the city and are aware that terrorists are posing a huge threat to it.
All Nigerians are called to support the police by giving off any information they may know and those caught in any form of violence will be arrested and prosecuted.
