The Peoples Democratic Party has appealed to Nigerians to elect its governorship and state assemblies elections candidates in Saturday’s elections.
PDP National Youth Leader, Abdullahi MaiBasira, thinks voting the PDP guber. candidates will save and deepen the country’s democracy.
Mr. MaiBasira, in his statement on thursday, said “In the ensuing transition, the Peoples Democratic Party has a role in it – one of safeguarding and deepening democracy in Nigeria and providing a more credible alternative
“On March 28, Nigerians expressed their preferred choice for the leadership of the country. And for the first time in the history of Nigerian democracy, a sitting President conceded an election and congratulated the incoming President of Nigeria.
“Our party has also done same. We should be proud of this legacy. This is the greatest triumph of democracy that has set the basis for future transitions in Nigeria. History will forever remain kind to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his efforts and commitment to the transformation of Nigeria and deepening of her democracy.
