Germanwings plane crash was a deliberate act by co-pilot

It has been confirmed that the Germanwing plane crash that killed 150 people was a deliberate act by the pilot who is said to be suffering from depression. The 28-year-old German co-pilot, Andreas Günter Lubitz locked his captain out of the cockpit and commanded the jet to crash, ploughing the Airbus A320 into the French Alps at more than 400mph.
The chilling final moments of the doomed jet were revealed by French prosecutors who said Lubitz's sole aim was to 'destroy the plane'.
It has since emerged that the 28-year-old was forced to postpone his pilot training in 2008 because of mental health problems, with a friend saying he was 'in depression.'  Now the question is why he was allowed to fly without medical checks. Though reports from dailymail revealed that the Airline bosses confirmed Lubitz had taken several months off work and had to retrain to join the firm, but insisted he was '100% fit to fly' after passing all medical tests.
The revelation will form a central part of the investigation and raises serious questions about why he was allowed to continue his training and whether enough was done to prevent the disaster.
After the emergence of this revelation, investigation has been on by the German police. The pilot's £400,000 family home in Montabaur, 40km from Bonn, as well as his apartment in Dusseldorf  is being raided by the German detectives as part of their investigation into his state of mind leading up to the crash.
