President Goodluck Jonathan may remove the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Attahiru Jega from office on March 24 says National Coordinator of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Gani Adams.
Gani spoke in Lagos on Monday when he led a group he described as the "Coalition for Concerned Nigerians" to protest against Jega.
Adams disclosed that President Jonathan has the constitutional powers to ask Jega to go on terminal leave on that particular date.
He said they had no choice but to call for Jega's sack owing to his alleged gross incompetence especially regarding the distribution of the Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
He also disclosed that the OPC had been awarded a "Pipeline Protection" contract that would see him employ 15,000 Yoruba youths.
